Disability Pride Month takes place in July to commemorate the history, accomplishments, and obstacles encountered by those with disabilities. This month was chosen due to its significance as the month when the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was enacted in 1990, a crucial legislation contributing to a more inclusive community. Disability Pride Month serves as a chance to recognize advancements and address the persisting difficulties faced by individuals with disabilities. Its goal is to enhance awareness, encourage empathy, and champion the rights and respect of all people with disabilities.
